FLORENCE (FIRENZE) AREZZO
Recent research shows that the City’s Etruscan origins, as originally believed, are unfounded, whilst it definitely contains a Roman Town Hall (Florentia). Florence became part of the Reign of Italy (1860), and became Capital from 1865 to 1870. From that time, it has always been an important cultural and artistic pole, also overcoming the most tragic moment in its recent history, that is, the floods of 1966, which left a profound mark on the City, but which also signalled the beginning of a new “Rebirth.”
An enormous amount of monuments, testify the rich artistic history of Florence..

The territory of Arezzo includes part of the Appenines Tosco-Emiliano and of Chianti, higher Val Tiberina, Casentino, part of the Upper Valdarno and Val di Chiana: it is worth mentioning that these are some of the most flourishing territories for wine production, famous worldwide, as well as being areas of incomparable natural beauty, much loved by those who prefer a non wasted holiday, but an intelligent and aware or conscious one.
Arezzo is a typical Italian City, which you can mainly explore by keeping to its narrow streets and exiting from its canonical routes; because they offer characteristic glimpses...

LUCCA PISA
From an artistic point of view, the City of Lucca, enclosed by a stupefying masonry wall from the Renaissance (1504-1645), still maintains an intact ancient urbanistic nucleus, in this way preserving its medieval system. The circle of the walls, which have remained intact (almost 5km in length, made up of 12 curtains and 11 ramparts, as well as being 12 metres above the City level), have been transformed into a walkway, the same height as the roofs of the City’s houses, allowing a unique way to see the City.
Lucca is also a city which can be enjoyed by abandoning the main roads...

Pisa, is still famous today, not only for its art, but also as a main University seat (University of 1343 and Scuola Normale Superiore (Normal Secondary School), purposely built by Napoleon in 1813).
The Cathedral Square, known as the Square of Miracles, is rightly renowned: on its ample and grassy areas (a 19th Century choice), we can find the Cathedral (1063-12th Century), which preserves the Pulpit by Giovanni Pisano (1302-10), the Bell Tower (the famous leaning tower, 1173), the Baptistery (1152-14th Century), containing decorative motifs on its exterior, orientated towards the Gothic...

PISTOIA SIENA
The province, a territory extending from the ridge of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines to the flatlands of the Arno, passing through a hilly band, is characteristic for its famous thermal tourism (Montecatini Terme, Monsummano Terme).
The monuments and works of art which adorned it during the main periods of civil and economic development, give Pistoia a noble and austere appearance. The Cathedral Square is the historical and artistic centre, showing strong medieval characteristics. The Cathedral (12th-13th Centuries), the Baptistery, the high Bell Tower...

Siena definitely has to attribute its fame to two factors: it is one of the major centres of Italian art and secondly, its name is indissolubly connected to the course of events, twice yearly, in Piazza del Campo of the famous Palio of Siena: the traditional horse race course, which takes place in the City’s quarters, is a tourist attraction, but at the same time an event still profoundly appreciated by its citizens; belonging to the “contradaioli” and seen as a true and proper ritual.
Piazza del Campo is one of the most beautiful medieval squares...
