PERUGIA ASSISI
Perugia was the ancient centre of the Umbrians called Peroscia, then an Dodecapoli Etruscan City by the name of Perusia (in 310 BC it was thought to be one of the most important Etruscan cities) then a Roman centre after seeing victory against the Etruscans and with the alliance to Rome.
A modern system of mechanised routes, constituted by a series of long scale furniture, running in part on the exterior and in part on the interior of ancient buildings, allows an easy assent to the historical centre in the hills. Assisi, protected by the western spur of Monte Subasio (1.290 m), dominates the evocative valley of Topino and Chiascio. Its medieval appearance, boasting narrow, tortuous and often steep streets, a mystical and peaceful atmosphere, Franciscan remains and numerous operas of art, make Assisi one of the most frequented Meta’s for pilgrims and tourists alike.
It’s the monumental complex of the Cathedral of Saint Francis that the whole City embraces; Consecrated in 1253, with a convent annexed to it. It’s an evocative construction, consisting of two churches which were beautifully decorated with cycles of biblical frescoes...

GUBBIO  

Gubbio is renowned for its exceptional richness of monuments and the fascination of its medieval appearance, which it has preserved, unaltered over the centuries. There’s an annual and traditional Eugubino folklore called the Corsa dei Ceri (Race of the Candles) as well as the Palio della balestra (archery competition).
Its urbanistic look is characterized by a line of parallel roads on different and steep levels, which all lead to monumental buildings and dark stoned houses containing arched mullioned windows, window posts and ledges in a medieval style: overall giving an unmistakable look to the City...
